@Regrann from @chimeedwards - ๐Ÿ’›โœจ American society often steals the boyhood and joy from Black boys and men. I love to see them happy, playful and in their element๐Ÿ˜† ๐Ÿ˜Š . . So much talent here! This is the band @unlockingthetruth from Brooklyn, NY around age 11. There's a documentary about them on Netflix called "Breaking A Monster". So interesting to see their journey! The members said they became interested in Metal music at age 6 after hearing it in the background of Japanese Anime (cartoons). They thought it was cool and began to explore it. Everyone expected them to be into Hop Hop since they were Black kids from Brooklyn. Their parents supported their dream of creating a band and now they have a record deal. I love how the boys didn't worry about fitting in. It's admirable to see kids step away from the crowd and do the things that they think are cool and interested in. It's so important to nurture kids' talents. Passion and support can take our youth so far๐Ÿ˜Š - regrann
