IMPROVE YOUR THORACIC MOBILITY An important piece of improving mobility that a lot of people miss is end range πŸ’ͺ strength. We can stretch and mobilize all day, but if you don't have the strength to hold your new position, you won't keep it very long. The ⚑ brain works on a "use it or lose it" principle. This is why we need to work ACTIVELY into new ranges of motion and partly why I'm a big advocate of contract-relax stretching for mobility improvement. Here we go over a quick and easy test and drill for improving your thoracic rotation. There's a lot of good thoracic mobility drills out there, but this is probably my favorite because it really gets the nervous system πŸ”Œ plugged in and contracting into those new end ranges. Perform 5 to 10 per side and try to hold the end range for 5 seconds or more. Give it a try, retest, and then tag a friend with a stiff back and share the wealth! MyodetoxOrlando Myodetox
