Barbra Streisand, Madonna, and Tumblr: madonna Yod Go Away c-bassmeow: While Barbra Streisand has a better voice + Shirley Bassey/Frank Sinatra/ Neil Diamond may be more vocally talented, for some reason Madonna’s version of this harrowingly sad song always makes me cry and is my favorite version. I think, while she lacks range and power, her voice is perfect for sad, slow ballads. Every ounce of emotion she wishes to convey, she conveys with ease. This song is so heart breaking.
