Batman, Future, and Jordans: NER BROS ANNOUNC ER BROSAN ES SHPOINT MOVI -IN NE DCEU #wBS SD YOFTHEBATMAN Afternoon Gothamites! Before the entire cast of "Justice League" hit the stage of Hall H during San Diego Comic Con this morning, attendees saw a sizzle reel revealing several future Extended Universe films. The reel began with the words β€œWhere wonder awaits, where justice prevails, where good battles evil, from Gotham to Atlantis, Metropolis to Apokolips, Krypton to Themyscira and beyond, welcome to the worlds of DC.” Then several logos were shown for the following films: Shazam, Suicide Squad 2, The Batman (accompanied by Ben Affleck’s Batman), Justice League Dark, Batgirl, Green Lantern Corps (accompanied by Hal Jordan and John Stewart comic art), The Flash (accompanied by a β€œFlashpoint” logo) and the highly anticipated Wonder Woman 2. The Flash solo movie is reported as being influenced by Geoff Johns and Andy Kubert's popular 2011 arc "Flashpoint". In this crossover event, in an effort to save his mother's life from the Reverse Flash, Barry Allen aka The Flash discovers he has changed reality and the life of his allies, including the Batman; in this timeline, it is Thomas Wayne, Bruce Wayne's father, that is the Dark Knight when his son was gunned down by a mugger. Many have speculations what "Flashpoint" could mean within this cinematic universe, in particular to the established Batman mythology. Yesterday, sources spread about Ben Affleck's Batman potentially being ushered out of the DCEU in future films. Today during the Hall H panel, Affleck stated he is thrilled to be playing the character and his excitement with working with Matt Reeves on the first solo film "The Batman". However, this doesn't set in stone Affleck's future after the first solo film and, within this continuity, Flashpoint could change the status of our current Batman, taking out Affleck. "Flashpoint" in the DCEU could also show us Thomas Wayne as Batman; Thomas Wayne debuted in 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who could possibly suit up as our hero in this Flash film. What are your thoughts on the slated DCEU films, what are your hopes about Flashpoint and thoughts on Affleck's time in the DCEU? We'll have more SDCC news soon, stay tuned! πŸ¦‡πŸŽ¬

Batman, Girls, and God: BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE (2016) TOMATOMETER AUDIENCE SCORE se 17 74% 30% Critic Consensus: Batman v BVS ISA DISASTER ful justice THAT IS A THREESYLLABLE WORD FOR ANY THOUGHT TOO BIG FOR LITTLE MINDS This will be my full spoiler review, so don't read any further if you don't want spoilers. (Idea credit tagged) There are obviously problems with BvS - it was a mess, and you can't deny that. It was a lot, the cameos weren't necessary, Lois was annoying, too much CGI with Doomsday (who looked meh), etc. BUT, This was the first comic book adaptation of Batman that I was truly satisfied with. He was a broken man tormented by his demons. The first Batman scene where he saves those girls and the police find the branded guy was brilliant. They were terrified, it was dark, and wonderfully directed. Superman was Superman - Henry did an almost perfect adaptation of the character, and I loved the scene where the senate blew up - Superman had a look of a god who failed his people. He was believeable and good. Gal was a good wonder woman, I didn't find anything super special about her Lex was my favorite part. I'm a big Lex Luthor fan, I've read the old Superman comics, Lex Luthor: Man of Steel, Death of Superman, and the new Lex centered Justice League comics, and I can truly say he was great. He was a screwed up person likely with Antisocial personality disorder, and it was clear that everything he said and did was a facade as soon as Senator Finch told him no. He manipulated everyone, even the guy who blew up the senate. My favorite part of the whole movie was his painting that he flipped upside down to symbolize devils coming from the sky. In the grand irony of it all, Lex becomes the prophet of a mad god. The transition from TDKR to Death of Superman was well done in my opinion. The funeral was emotional and had a lovely theme of unity. The story itself was a bit of a mess, but I still loved it for a few reasons - a) it had a clear theme and message (something few comic book movies have) b) it did the characters really well and even though it had problems, it has us set up for great characters in a great cinematic universe c) it is incredibly relevant and impactful with current politics - today we have a refugee crisis, and a recent terror attack. Overall, the movie was good, certainly underrated and absolutely worth watching - I give it a 7-10 -Nightwing
