Chip Kelly: @AllBlackMedia: Richard Sherman Says the NFL Has a 'Boy, Stay in Your Place' Mentality Richard Sherman Says the NFL Has a 'Boy, Stay in Your Place' Mentality allblackmedia.com Smh.. the fact that it's known .. that there is a "stay in your place boy" unspoken policy .. yet one still will sell their dignity and pride to play for people that have no respect for them individually, and us collectively.. says a lot!! 40milliondollarslaves ・・・ . Seattle Seahawks star Richard Sherman finds it troubling that Colin Kaepernick is still unemployed. In comments made to Jarret Bell of USA Today, Sherman revealed himself to be highest-profile player to acknowledge the fact the NFL is blackballing a black man who stood up for injustice. “What is it about?” Sherman said. “It’s not about football or color. It’s about, ‘Boy, stay in your place.’ He played in Chip (Kelly)’s system last year and went 16-4 (TD-to-INT ratio) on a bad team. He played well because he’s a good football player. He may not be the best, but he’s better than a lot of these dudes starting.” Sherman believes that more players should speak up and be vocal about their support for the 29-year-old free agent. “Not a lot of guys are willing to step out there. So the guys not speaking up for him are doing him a disservice. There should be a lot more guys saying something. Most guys are like, ‘I don’t want my job to end up the same way.’” As previously reported, the Baltimore Ravens recently considered signing Kaepernick but have spent the past couple of weeks contemplating while taking advice from “sunken place” Ray Lewis. . Kaepernick had a solid season last year but caused controversy when he decided to kneel during the national anthem in protest of police brutality and social injustice. . . Sherman believes this is the only reason he is still a free agent. . . . RP @gainingourdefinition
