I just love that someone is actually standing up against it as it's incredibly rude/uncomfortable and females don't feel they have a choice when having to squeeze up when a male next time them is being inconsiderate and manspreading I do disagree and think it's extreme; but I understand the women have been doing it to create a statement. My comm pouring/spraying water is commonly used to train dogs/cats and by using this action we are essentially treating males as animals. No where in the comments did my friend or l state we agree with the act of pouring water on the males ent about training dogs is purely that Like Reply 18m "love this" and sharing it is clearly showing your support for this kind of treatment, and by making the reference and connection to spraying them like animals - that's just degrading in itself, imagine if a guy had said that about trying to get women to stop doing things that annoy them? You can make a statement without mildly assaulting people on public transport Yes I do support the statement, and I'm proud females are standing up against it. Doesn't mean I agree with the course of action. And in no way did I state otherwise. You may have misinterpreted and assumed the post as act of complete agreement. We as a society need to discuss why it’s considered necessary for a woman to take a man’s name in a marriage, and why it is considered degrading the other way around. Take a minute to think about that: things that are considered necessary for women are degrading for men. It shows how society views women when you think of that. At one of my school reunions, I met one of my former classmates who had taken his wife’s surname. He was so chill about it. Told everyone very proudly that his wife was an only child (and so was her father and grandfather) so if she’d taken his last name or even if they’d hyphenated, she’d be the last of her family so he’d happily taken her name so that wouldn’t happen. The funny thing about it was that he was such a sexist piece of shit when he was at school. So, you know, people can grow and change. My mother kept her last name when she married my father, and he hyphenated, but ONLY because he had a son from his first marriage and he wanted for his son to share his last name too, else he’d taken my mother’s. Seriously, where the fuck is it emasculating to take your wife’s name. Men have to stop being babies ffs.
