Thereā€™s been a little bit of interest in Jagged-Tooth, Cousinā€™s first born son. A specific question was about his first meeting w/ Shepard, which I was gonna go on about, but I might make a comic about it later. So have a few sketches.Ā Jagged-Tooth:Ā 

A rare Yautja Biotic, an elite Enforcer, and despite a rocky relationship w/ his father, he risked dishonor and punishment to join a faction of Yautja that went against the clanā€™s decision and went to aid Shepard. They meet when he arrives during the Battle for Palaven as surprise back up. Capable, dry, could be considered friendlyā€¦unless youā€™re Garrus.(When your dadā€™sĀ ā€˜favorite sonā€™ seems to be someone who isnā€™t even his fucking son, and who you think is a total dweeb, youā€™re not gonna be happy about that, I guess)He takes after his mother more than his father, though has his fatherā€™s intensity and skill, if only Cousin were more forthcoming w/ praise for that (he does recognize it, though he is very critical of his son and always being hard on him). Their relationship is that of an accomplished child with a father who has incredibly high expectations. That means that their relationship is very rocky.Ā This started when he was young, as his path diverted early from Cousinā€™s hopes and plans for him. Not many Yautja are taught to develop their biotic abilities, and due to there being some contention over whether or not biotics are respectable in the Hunt tradition, the training is more often than not discouraged. But Jagged-Tooth went into training, and instead of becoming a traditional hunter, went down the line of enforcement. Cousin still hasnā€™t fully recovered from that disappointment.Ā Joining the Yautja faction during the reaper war is the first time that Jagged-Tooth has ever had to operate under his fatherā€™s lead. He tries to be professional about it. Cousin, on the other hand, doesnā€™t try as hard to do the same.Ā Someone described Jagged-Tooth as aĀ ā€œrare Yautja Bishounenā€ and you know what? Are aquariums still considered good? Cuz ours has a bunch of sea animals that were brought in due to injuries, and that seems like a good thing to help them out until they can go back in the ocean.

Aquariums function like aquatic zoos IF they are non-profit and accredited. For instance the National Aquarium does have dolphins BUT last year they stopped doing shows and literally just let the dolphins do what they want. People can come in to watch the dolphins and trainers still are there but now are less ā€œtrainersā€ and more ā€œhuman toys.ā€ Breeding efforts have stopped and they announced theyā€™re going to care for their existing pod and play as the POD wants for the rest of their life and after that, no dolphins.
Almost all their fish are nearly 20 years old (or less depending on natural life cycle, or MOREā€¦ there are a few close to 50) and they also have rehabilitation and release programs for injured animals. Since they are non-profit every bit of money goes to constant improvements in their tanks, research, and conservation efforts.
Sea World, despite all their advertising and talk, is a for profit organization that is more concerned with the paychecks than with animal welfare. Baltimore aquarium got a lot of people in with their dolphin shows but they stopped when learning it wasnā€™t best for their animals. Sea World has no such concern.

Learn before you burnĀ 

Keep the zoos and aquariums. Fuck sea world and circuses.

All done with Urbosaā€™s redesign and the additional sketches for her role in my headcanon! <: As usual I didnā€™t change too much but I gave her a slightly different hairstyle, some tusks (as is natural for Gerudo in my headcanon), and a brand new outfit! She has such lovely colors to work with, I love her so much ;-;But Iā€™m sure ya donā€™t wanna hear me babble about how enjoyable her design is. So, letā€™s go straight into the headcanon! <:ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”--Urbosa is the current chief of the Gerudo and serves as the acting Champion for them as well. As a Champion in this timeline, she holds a key component in gaining access to Old Hyrule-ā€Championā€ in this timeline doesnā€™t fully hold the same function as it once did in BotW. Instead of being chosen to pilot the Divine Beasts, a Champion are a handful of chosen warriors that serve as Hyruleā€™s best line of defense against any threat. Despite every group of peoples having their own form of governing, culture, and way of life, all of them are still united under the banner of Hyrule, and the Champions could be the physical representation of this tight alliance. A Champion may not necessarily have a lot of political power by themselves but what they represent and what they stand for still puts them in a high position in social status and therefore their word often holds significant weight. As not only the chief of Gerudo but also their Champion, Urbosa is in a position of having more power than what would typically be seen for a Chief. Thankfully though, she doesnā€™t abuse it and leads her people well: thereā€™s a reason sheā€™s so well respected and loved among not only the Gerudo, but across Hyrule as well.-As one of the original Champions, Urbosa retains many of her memories from her past life, including what ultimately led to her death-Iā€™ve always liked the idea of Urbosa being a motherly figure to just about anyone she meets, but that also includes being an actual mother! Her kid in this headcanon is Riju <:-While Urbosa isnā€™t actually related to Ganondorf, he refers to her as his ā€œauntā€. Of all the Gerudo in his life, Urbosa was a consistent presence, often visiting him and his parents at their secluded home in the middle of Korok Forest. Sheā€™d bring stories of adventure and gifts and even helped train him to be a skilled warrior, but as much as she loves the boy her visits held an alternative motive.-As a whole, no one really knows of Ganondorfā€™s past as being the vessel for the Demon King, but if anyone would have any idea about it itā€™d certainly be the Sheikah and the Gerudo. As per tradition in their culture, a newborn Gerudo must be brought forth to a shaman for examination to ensure their health and to fully proclaim their citizenship as a new member of the tribe. When Ganondorf was examined, the first thing the shaman noticed was the peculiar mark upon his chest: a birthmark in the shape of the wound that struck Demise down all those thousands of years ago. In seeing the mark the shaman took the baby away from his mother and brought it to the council and Urbosa to discuss what to do with it.The Gerudo are intimately familiar with the history surrounding the Demon King and how he stole one of their own, so the mark was very telling of what the child once was. And given the long stretch of peace Hyrule was experiencing it understandably buzzed some fear among the elder council. Many were afraid his birth meant an end to that peace, that the Demon King had somehow reincarnated once more and meant to bring hell back to Hyrule.So in response to all of this, the elders argued amongst each other about a solution. Many ruled the boy too dangerous to allow him to grow older and demanded he beā€¦ dealt with. Others deemed that too cruel, even for a damned child, and suggested they simply leave him somewhere far away: let nature decide if he lives or dies. But, as chief and Gerudo Champion of Hyrule, it ultimately came down to Urbosaā€™s choice. She held the babe her council hissed demon, stared at the birthmark that marked him as a vessel, heard the pleading sobs of the boyā€™s mother over the whispers of ā€œweā€™ll make it quick, but we mustnā€™t let him liveā€, ā€œhe is dangerous, he will bring doom to us allā€ ā€œend it now while he is weakā€.Stared at the supposed demon child, who simply yawned in her grasp and blinked up at her with innocent, yellow eyes. She met the Demon King once: she had stared into that monsterā€™s eyes while she fought it to her death in her past lifetime. She knows soulless eyes when she sees themā€¦ and this baby didnā€™t have those eyes.So Urbosa made her decision: the boy will not die. It was largely met with disbelief and anger: you will doom us all! they said. Despite Urbosa staying firm in her decision, it took her days of arguing with the council and the aid of a Sheikah Seer (who examined the child themselves and confirmed that he didnā€™t house the Demon King) to finally reach a compromise: the boy will live, but he canā€™t live among the Gerudo. He had to live with his mother in exile, and his growth had to be monitored as a precaution. The monitoring came in the form of Urbosaā€™s frequent visits.-Urbosa is close friends with Zeldaā€™s parents and is also something of an ā€œauntā€ figure to Zelda as well; Zelda absolutely adores Urbosa and even sees her as more of a secondary mother figure than anything.ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”ā€”Aaaaaaaaand thatā€™s all I have for Urbosa for now!     Despite: trans-mom:
Claim: ā€œTransā€ is short for ā€œtransition.ā€
The Truth: ā€œTransā€ is short for ā€œtransgender.ā€ It is just a descriptor of a personā€™s gender.
Claim: You must experience dysphoria in order to be trans.
The Truth: Incorrect. Dysphoria is an old, outdated term thatā€™s been redefined over time to cover new specific needs. Despite its constant redefining, itā€™s still not an all encompassing descriptor for all trans people.
Claim: You must pursue hrt and surgery to be trans.
The Truth: Incorrect. There are a variety of reasons why someone wouldnā€™t want to have hrt or surgery, all of them valid.
Claim: If youā€™re trans, youā€™d show very specific signs as a child. / All trans people knew they were trans since a young age.
The Truth: A lot of trans people do not possess obvious signs of their transhood as children. Lots of people discover themselves later in life. Your age does not dictate your transhood.Ā 
Claim: Transition is solely defined by hrt or surgery.
The Truth: Transition begins from the moment you feel youā€™re trans and need to alter things in your life. Transition isnā€™t only medical. Itā€™s also social, but most of all itā€™s personal. Something like making a plan to come out in the future is part of your transition.
Claim: You have to come out to everyone.
The Truth: Thatā€™s personal information you owe no one.Ā 
Claim: Most trans people detransition.
The Truth: Detransitioning is rare. And in most cases itā€™s because of financial and safety (read: bigoted harm) reasons. The claim that most trans people detransition is based on an old study where the kids were exposed to anti-lgbt rhetoric and when people didnā€™t return his calls he marked them as ā€œdetransitioned.ā€ The amount of people who detransition cuz they ā€œwerenā€™t transā€ is extremely rare.
Claim: Being on hrt will make you more depressed.
The Truth: Incorrect. Statistics show that the majority of trans peopleā€™s lives improve with hrt. What actually would cause depression is the constant harassment and harm from bigots, often times from the same people who told you hrt will make you depressed. Hrt itself is documented to improve the quality of life.
Claim: You donā€™t need hrt. There are pills on the market made from natural means that will give you the same result without a prescription.
The Truth: This is not only false, but itā€™s a money making scheme meant to exploit your lack of easy access to hrt. These pills will not work, they will actually have the opposite effect, and they cost the same as obtaining hrt without a prescription on average.
Claim: You absolutely must have a prescription for hrt. Itā€™s illegal to get it without and youā€™ll die if you donā€™t have proper understanding.
The Truth: Morality isnā€™t dictated by legality. And, though some dangers exist with self medicating with no knowledge, as someone that did self medicated hrt itā€™s not impossible for you to get educated. Testosterone poses more legal risks and you need to be sure what youā€™re getting is the real deal with T, but the need to do things this way is a sign the system is broken - not that thereā€™s something wrong with the people doing it.

Claim: You can get hrt through Planned Parenthood.
The Truth: Accurate! Planned Parenthood does offer hrt on an informed consent basis in some places. This is not true to everywhere so maybe call them or check their own web site about it before just dropping in. Smallangryandtired did an excellent write up on how to do the process here.Ā 
However, as I said, they do not offer it in all locations. The main path a lot of people take is going to a therapist for a session or two and getting a letter from said therapist approving you for hrt and taking that to a doctor (who in turn usually recommends you to a specialist).
Claim: After a certain age, thereā€™s no point to do hrt. It wonā€™t have the same effect.
The Truth: That is a lie. Hrt will work no matter your age.
Claim: You can be too young for hrt and puberty blockers are dangerous.
The Truth: That is also a lie. Lots of people have known theyā€™re trans since they were kids and refusing them treatment is child abuse. If a doctor deems a kid too young for hrt, the alternative is puberty blockers because they are not harmful to the child at all. Despite what anti-lgbt groups want you to believe, there is no danger to puberty blockers.
Claim: There are only two genders. / Nonbinary people donā€™t exist. / Biological sex dictates gender.
The Truth: The biological sex you know is only trulyĀ representative of gender stereotypes. The truth is that, biologically speaking, there are more than two sexes and the only true way to identify such is throughĀ karyotypes. Third genders and nonbinary genders have existed through out history, it is not new. The greatest minds in science have time and time again repeated this information, that sex isnā€™t a binary, that nonbinary people exist, that trans women are really women, trans men are men, and that nonbinary people are nonbinary. Even Bill Nye has said this.
Claim: Things likeĀ ā€œstargenderā€ orĀ ā€œnoungenderā€ are ruining the representation of the trans community. /Ā ā€œNoungenderā€ is just children trying to get attention and are not actually trans. / People using neopronouns or nounself pronouns are not really trans.
The Truth: This in inaccurate and often times either a bullying tactic towards those who are different, or transphobic people using such to isolate a group of trans people. Some people do not fit into the binary or gender nor feel like theyā€™re in any defined nonbinary genders. So theyā€™ll define themselves with words and terms they enjoy. Itā€™s no different from you feeling more comfort from being calledĀ ā€œheā€ versusĀ ā€œshe.ā€Ā

The Truth: Incorrect. There are a variety of reasons why someone wouldnā€™t want to have hrt or surgery, all of them valid.
Claim: If youā€™re trans, youā€™d show very specific signs as a child. / All trans people knew they were trans since a young age.
The Truth: A lot of trans people do not possess obvious signs of their transhood as children. Lots of people discover themselves later in life. Your age does not dictate your transhood.Ā 
Claim: Transition is solely defined by hrt or surgery.
The Truth: Transition begins from the moment you feel youā€™re trans and need to alter things in your life. Transition isnā€™t only medical. Itā€™s also social, but most of all itā€™s personal. Something like making a plan to come out in the future is part of your transition.
Claim: You have to come out to everyone.
The Truth: Thatā€™s personal information you owe no one.Ā 
Claim: Most trans people detransition.
The Truth: Detransitioning is rare. And in most cases itā€™s because of financial and safety (read: bigoted harm) reasons. The claim that most trans people detransition is based on an old study where the kids were exposed to anti-lgbt rhetoric and when people didnā€™t return his calls he marked them as ā€œdetransitioned.ā€ The amount of people who detransition cuz they ā€œwerenā€™t transā€ is extremely rare.
Claim: Being on hrt will make you more depressed.
The Truth: Incorrect. Statistics show that the majority of trans peopleā€™s lives improve with hrt. What actually would cause depression is the constant harassment and harm from bigots, often times from the same people who told you hrt will make you depressed. Hrt itself is documented to improve the quality of life.
Claim: You donā€™t need hrt. There are pills on the market made from natural means that will give you the same result without a prescription.
The Truth: This is not only false, but itā€™s a money making scheme meant to exploit your lack of easy access to hrt. These pills will not work, they will actually have the opposite effect, and they cost the same as obtaining hrt without a prescription on average.
Claim: You absolutely must have a prescription for hrt. Itā€™s illegal to get it without and youā€™ll die if you donā€™t have proper understanding.
The Truth: Morality isnā€™t dictated by legality. And, though some dangers exist with self medicating with no knowledge, as someone that did self medicated hrt itā€™s not impossible for you to get educated. Testosterone poses more legal risks and you need to be sure what youā€™re getting is the real deal with T, but the need to do things this way is a sign the system is broken - not that thereā€™s something wrong with the people doing it.

Claim: You can get hrt through Planned Parenthood.
The Truth: Accurate! Planned Parenthood does offer hrt on an informed consent basis in some places. This is not true to everywhere so maybe call them or check their own web site about it before just dropping in. Smallangryandtired did an excellent write up on how to do the process here.Ā 
However, as I said, they do not offer it in all locations. The main path a lot of people take is going to a therapist for a session or two and getting a letter from said therapist approving you for hrt and taking that to a doctor (who in turn usually recommends you to a specialist).
Claim: After a certain age, thereā€™s no point to do hrt. It wonā€™t have the same effect.
The Truth: That is a lie. Hrt will work no matter your age.
Claim: You can be too young for hrt and puberty blockers are dangerous.
The Truth: That is also a lie. Lots of people have known theyā€™re trans since they were kids and refusing them treatment is child abuse. If a doctor deems a kid too young for hrt, the alternative is puberty blockers because they are not harmful to the child at all. Despite what anti-lgbt groups want you to believe, there is no danger to puberty blockers.
Claim: There are only two genders. / Nonbinary people donā€™t exist. / Biological sex dictates gender.
The Truth: The biological sex you know is only trulyĀ representative of gender stereotypes. The truth is that, biologically speaking, there are more than two sexes and the only true way to identify such is throughĀ karyotypes. Third genders and nonbinary genders have existed through out history, it is not new. The greatest minds in science have time and time again repeated this information, that sex isnā€™t a binary, that nonbinary people exist, that trans women are really women, trans men are men, and that nonbinary people are nonbinary. Even Bill Nye has said this.

Last week on my way to work in the early morning, a coyote darted in front of my car and I hit it. I heard a crunch and believed I ran over and killed it. Upon stopping at a traffic light by my work, a construction woman notified me that there was in fact a coyote still embedded in my car. When I got out to look, this poor little guy was looking up and blinking at me. I notified Alberta fish and wildlife enforcement right away who came to rescue him. Miraculously, he was freed and had minimal injuries despite having hitched a ride from Airdrie to Calgary at highway speeds! Their biologist checked him over and gave him the good to go. They released him in Kananaskis. Clearly mother nature has other plans for this special little guy!-Georgie Knox

The Man of Steel vs the King of the Monsters by DR-Studios

Man of steel is fucked.

One is a horrifying unstoppable murder monster that smashes buildings and kills all who oppose it while laughing off the pitiful weapons humanity throws at it and never once stops to consider the value of the human lives that get caught in the wake of its titanic battles for supremacy.
The other is Godzilla.

Iā€™d hate to say it, you guys, but Godzilla probably wouldnā€™t win that fight.

Probably not, not.Ā  At some point Godzilla would try to avoid killing innocent bystanders, at which point Superman would make the kill shot in a way that forces Godzillaā€™s corpse to fall onto and crush as many fleeing human beings as possible.Ā  Superman would then toss the carcass into a dozen or so more buildings, specifically aiming for those that are still inhabited by trapped people, and maybe drag the corpse through the rubble just in case a few humans clung onto life despite their grievous wounds before finally leaving the carcass on a school or hospital to rot and fester - or maybe in the water supply to ensure the maximum amount of people can be exposed to whatever diseases result.
Then heā€™d threaten the military not to cross him again before making a terrible sex joke at Amy Adams.

Iā€™m sorry to say, but you got both of these characters COMPLETELY backwards.

No, Godzilla does go out of his way to avoid hurting innocent bystanders - at least in the 2014 movie, which is the version shown in the picture above.Ā  Godzilla tries his best to avoid going through the Golden Gate bridge, avoids swimming through navy ships, and even tries to walk around buildings rather than through them when fighting the wicked mutos.Ā  And he does it in a few other movies, too - one time that stands out to me occurs in the original Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla he actually leads the evil MechaGodzilla away from the city into the wilderness before having a brutal match.
So yeah, Iā€™d say I have them pretty spot on.

I think the reason he doesnā€™t go through buildings because that would be fucking stupid. Also he didnā€™t seem to care enough when he started smashing the golden gate bridge with the bus full of children on it when the military attacked him. Or how about the time he flooded all of Hawaii? Heā€™s not consciously protecting humans because all he cares about is killing the MUTOS. He most likely fights them for territory which would kind of make sense as to why he would want to be killed by Superman in the first place

Godzilla was knocked into the bridge by those missiles.Ā  Thereā€™s a difference between stumbling into something when someone pushes you into it and purposely knocking that thing over.Ā  What happened with Godzilla and the bridge was the former - he actually spent a good chunk of time avoiding the bridge and blocking it from the missiles with his body before he was finally forced through it.Ā  Thatā€™s not Godzillaā€™s fault, thatā€™s the militaryā€™s.
2. Godzilla didnā€™t mean to flood Hawaii - he probably wasnā€™t even aware of how the water was being displaced.Ā  Itā€™s destructive, sure, but itā€™s not something he could avoid.Ā  Itā€™s not the same as, say, a super powered murderer tackling another super powered murderer through a cornfield into a populated area like some kind of sociopath.
I donā€™t know why youā€™re trying to paint Godzilla in such a negative light, but it kinda scares me.



Yaā€™ll lay off Godzilla! Heā€™s trying his best! His best is all he can do and itā€™s difficult to do so when litteral armies of people are trying to sabotage him!
