Even though I’m in the system (USN), it took them two weeks to run a background check on me when I applied for an airport job, but they nabbed this guy in less than 48 hours? I find that suspicious af.

Dude. Your background check  act of domestic terrorism that’s targeting politicians and media all over the news in an election year. If you find that suspicious I don’t know what to tell you. What’s the alternative? A conspiracy involving hundreds of FBI agents and techs, local and state law enforcement, postal service, and media? Are you serious? 

You don’t need all that when folks don’t question and just obey because they’re “taking care of the bad guys.” All you need are a few rotten apples at the top.But, none of those packages went through the mail. That’s given away by the lack of postal cancellation, as well as not enough postage.Otherwise, the timing is what I call suspicious. Hostage situations have taken longer. Hell, since you brought up domestic terrorism, it took them longer to find McVeigh and Kazinski (sp?) than this guy.

Even assuming it is the right guy, do we know who he really is? If he was capable of organizing something like this by himself? If he working alone? If he isn’t the face of a larger scheme? Holy shit I just witnessed Colin murder the entire movie industry. 

I just saw a new episode of Who’s Line is it Anyway? in which other cast members made a transphobic joke where the punchline was “that woman has a penis.” Colin, who has a trans daughter, stood there and just repeatedly said “Really?” Until they apologized and redid their joke. Very small thing, but I appreciate the man.

Colin is sunshine.

And to think, I didn’t believe Colin Mochrie could earn more respect from me.
You have to understand. Improv comedy has rules you follow. And rule number one, the Golden Rule: NEVER CONTRADICT. You never take what someone suggests and say “no, not that, this instead!” You never reply to a joke with “No, I don’t want to do that!” You roll with it. You ALWAYS roll with it. The ridiculousness added on top of ridiculousness peaks into a primo superdense ball of hilarity incarnate.
And his reply to something offensive was “Nope. Stop the bit. Nope. Nope. Nope. You fucked up.”
I’ll bet you money Wayne Brady would do the same if a white person on the show dropped an N-Bomb, and people would be understanding. Colin stood up for an oft-maligned group, whose members include one very personal to him, and completely ground that show to a grinding halt by saying “No. That’s not fucking funny.” and ruined the joke. This is a man who builds his entire career off of making jokes, and he /ruined another’s/.
I’m sorry, Colin isn’t just a god amongst improv comics. He’s not just funny as all get-out and witty as hell. He’s a stone-cold badass, and he deserves recognition.
Props, Mr. Mochrie. You, sir, are deserving of respect.

 everywhere you turn, and by now (even if you don't totally get it),
 you've become desensitized to the mantra. It's actually a pretty
 hard thing to master. Believe or not, all writers struggle to show,
 but I hope this lesson will help you out!
 NO EMOTION WORDS
 USE ACTION
 No, your character isn't sad, happy,
 devastated, in pain, angry, nervous,
 scared, or worried. Don't use words
 like this that describe emotions
 They cut down on the hit of your
 scene, and they're harder for readers
 to connect to/get emotional over
 Instead of being angry, your
 character is screaming, has their
 fists tightly clenched, and is
 trembling. See what I did? I took the
 emotion, thought of how to show it,
 and used that instead. It adds a little
 oomph, and it's more sensory for
 your reader
 USE SETTING
 USE PERCEPTIONS
 I dig this one. Your character is sad?
 No, your character is suddenly
 seeing their lover not as their lover,
 but something they just lost in
 battle. Their perception of what that
 person is changed. Love turns to
 loss, smiling turns to tears. Nothing

 action hits
 Your character is happy? Yeah, no
 they're not. Your character is
 noticing the tiniest, most delicate
 things about their new car that are,
 in all honesty, kind of weird to notice
 on just a normal car. When you love
 something, you notice more. When it
 makes you sad, you try to close it
 out. See?
 GO OUT OF BOUNDS
 High emotion often means lovw
 ability to think things through. It's
 okay to make your character wander
 from their borders during highly
 emotional moments. Make themm
 kick, scream, kiss harder, throw
 stuff, break down sobbing, knock
 out some teeth. I promise, it's okay!
 You're not out of bounds!
 USE DIALOGUE

Say Bruh shout to u ladies that's gon leave a half-eaten pack of Chips Ahoy Cinnamon Sugar Thins in the coffee room I see y'all. See Bruh smash understands women. I know exactly what happened there. U bought that pack of cookies like "ah yes delicious, plus they're 'thin' - I'll have one at a time as a snack and feel thin and great and healthy ☺️." Then what did yo pretty ass do. U ate half the pack in one sitting 😂. That sugar high hit u hard and fast and u uploaded a hilarious four part snap story and then u crashed and now u need three coffees just to wake back up and u just like "not today, Jesus" and put the rest of them cookies in the coffee room with a kindly written post-it saying "help yourself! 🙂" Translation: "I have no self control, please eat these before I my pants no longer fit and I gotta convert to pregnancy pants with the elastic waist" 😫. So with that said let me remind y'all of a golden rule: white sugar is like alcohol for your body - pure poison. Cut that shit straight out. At your desk imma need you to keep nuts and vegetables. Just that. Pound them peanuts, walnuts, almonds, carrots and cucumbers like your life depend on it.
