I Hate It When I: Your family need you Not the corporations Not the drug pushers The music videos are lying There is nothing for you out in the Streets @chakabars As I looked into his eyes I saw the light leaving, his soul was departing, his body was still there... but he had left. A shot had rang out just before, he didn't know this would be the end of his world, my heart stopped, I was telling myself it was something else. As he fell I caught him, I held him in my arms. I looked at the end of my friend, there was so much blood, I knew what to do, but I didn't want to believe it.(True story 😒) Many people reading this have been through trauma, seeing death through their friends eyes. Yet we still celebrate guns, bombs & bullets. What is wrong with us? The movies, the rap videos & the computer games glorify death. So do the news media & to what end? To keep us killing each other & in fear of one another, to colonise our minds so that we can't live without this visceral attraction to destruction. We could build together, recently I saw the brother who broke up a street fight between two school children, he made them shake hands. This was one of the most beautiful things I have seen. Imagine if everyone was responsible, all over the globe problems would be settled with communication. It's not funny, we murder each other, or knock each other out in the streets, it's a shame. I call my brothers Kings, I call my sisters Queens. Because when they feel good about themselves, I feel good about myself. Greet everyone with respect, this is what we should all do. I hate it when I see & hear of people stabbing & attacking each other, over an area code, or their fragile ego. Your insecurities aren't worth someone else's life. Roadman are really willing to die for a block they don't own, or go to prison for it. Just to find that when they get out, rich youts are gentrifying the area, opening Delhis & coffee shops. Cowards murdering innocent bystanders, before they clap back at police murdering their people. People pulling out their phones before they will go over help. Knowing that no matter what the evidence, that police officer is going home to his family. We're worth more than these streets, you have a family that love you, go back & build with them. Be there for them, they need you, the streets don't. chakabars
