Animals, Bad, and Choose One: Interesting Fact: Alex the parrot's (A subject of a 37-year experiment) last words to his caretaker were "You be good. Because yeah, sure, any parrot can mimic, but Alex was one of the first to prove on many occasions that he understood the meaning behind the words he said With that in mind, just think about what he said for a sec. Alex had to understand on some level that death means leaving. That's fucking mindblowing. Alex also was shown to have the intelligence of a young child, anywhere from 3 to 5 years old. He could do basic addition and subtraction, and independently taught himself the concept of zero (something that most CIVILIZATIONS couldn't do!) He had a vocabulary of thousands of words, some of which he made up himself, and had deep interpersonal bonds with many scientists and trainers, as well as other parrots. Alex the parrot is basically the coolest bird ever animals are often smarter than you think. There is/was a gorilla they taught sign language to. And one day she asked for a kitten. they gave her a stuffed animal but she signed sad. She wanted a real one. She was allowed to choose one from a litter. She named it All Ball and she loved it Except one day All Ball escaped from the cage and was hit by a car. And this shows you just how much animals can understand. They signed what had happened but didn't think the gorilla would understand. But she started making weeping, howling/crying sounds and the signs for bad, sad, etc. And then "Sleep, cat". She understood death. She's had two kittens since then Animals understand more than you think. Depends on the animal, yes. Animals are incredible

Beautiful, Community, and Fall: r/waifuism Posted by 75 19 Years Our anniversary is here. Its amazing how fast 19 years goes by! I wasn't expecting to fall in love, lasting love in 1999; I was just a kid. But it happened! I wish we had had this community in our lives from the start; all the wonderful people here give our relationship the understanding and support that we have always wanted! Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey. Squidward, What a year we have had. From an unexpected reunion to your beautiful proposal, this has been a year of feeling closer to you than ever before. Let me be the one who is by your side to make you smile no matter what. If I can't take away the obstacles you face, let me be your escape. In our home, there are no long work hours, no annoying neighbors, and cruel words from others quickly lose their sting. There will be comfort, kisses, and someone always ready with a listening ear, whether you're talking about your day or practicing your latest clarinet composition. We have been through so much together. Joy, success, adventure, uncertainty, sadness, separation. We come from two different worlds, you and I, but love knows no distance and no dimension. Finally, we are free continue what we started 19 years ago after you took the stage. The audience was not ready to accept you, but you were brave enough to follow your passion. If all the world is a stage, our audience may not be ready for our dance yet, but you are already the star of all my daydreams, and I will always be your partner in dance,in love, in life. This is for you, for everything. Let's make music together for many years to come. I love you, Squidward. Squidward,
What a year we have had. From an unexpected reunion to your beautiful proposal, this has been a year of feeling closer
to you than ever before. Let me be the one who is by your side to make you smile no matter what. If I can't take away the
obstacles you face, let me be your escape. In our home, there are no long work hours, no annoying neighbors, and cruel
words from others quickly lose their sting. There will be comfort, kisses, and someone always ready with a listening ear,

Blessed, Life, and Love: I love encouraging you I love encouraging your better self. I love seeing you encourage yourself. I love hearing you encourage others. I love the handful of times I cried in front of my students over the years, for that is as real as it gets. I love the loving comfort you gave me when my mother died. I love the tears shed with me by a few students over the years-maybe you-for those gifts were precious jewels of cleansing and blessed renewal and manifest glory. I love that eventually you will not remember me, for I am unimportant. I love that you will remember your better self, again and again, when your lesser self cries for attention. I love overcoming, I love having overcome with you over and over, and I love that you are overcomers. I love that behind this vale of tears is eternal sunshine-I love the blessed hope that includes the prayer of seeing you there. I love Shakespeare's Sonnet CXVI. I love Shakespeare's lofty aspiration: "Let me not to the marriage of true minds admit impediments," for "Love is not love which alters when it alteration finds...." I loved sharing and reading that sonnet with you each year, while maybe Beethoven or Mozart was playing in the background when I did, as often was the case, for I had no greatness of my own to give you but what greatness I found I always wished to share. I love those words and so many more. I love these people in my life and in history and so many more. I love these times and experiences and things and sights and sounds and stories and histories and thoughts and ideals and amazements and bemusements and beauties and challenges and victories and sorrows and joys and so very much more. And I love you. I loved closing out each school year by giving you my Universal Summer Assignment: (1) Think. (2) Enjoy Life. (3) Love One Another. Regardless of the season of your life and mine, may those encouragements always be so for you and for me. This is how I fought my battles: I loved. This is how I fought for you: I loved you. An excerpt from a 10 page farewell letter written by my Calculus teacher.
