 I really see this developing into a long and very serious relationship. There are no big
 problems or red flags.
 One thing that gets me though, are his political opinions. They are esoteric, somewhat
 incomprehensible, and frankly, bizarre. He is an ardent monarchist (we are in the UK) but not
 in the typical use of the word (ie liking the Queen being an impartial head of state), he literally
 believes in the divine right of kings and that it is the only natural form of government. He
 claims to recognise no monarch since James ll, and apparently the real legitimate successor
 is some guy called Francis who I've never heard of, who is also supposedly the rightful king of
 France and Greece. He never votes, saying he has no desire to assist his monarch in their
 choice of servants (which is technically how the UK government works, the Queen "chooses"
 whoever wins the election). He expressed disgust at Prince Harry's recent engagement, I
 pressed him as to why (I was slightly worried it was racist in nature) and he said both Meghan
 Markle and Kate Middleton are commoners who have no business marrying royalty, then made
 some remark about the Royal Family being a "ghastly bunch of arriviste Germans anyway, so I
 suppose it doesn't matter". It's just strange. It's like his worldview is so odd and so far removed
 from anything I can even begin to understand. I can name the current major Royals and a few
 of the more important historical ones, whereas he is an absolute expert.
 He will passionately debate anyone who wants to, though again it just makes him look strange.
 Friends at dinner will be discussing normal, contemporary political issues, and he will interject
 and go on some tangent about how this all relates to "King John's submission to Papal
 authority in 1213". He does seem to genuinely believe this stuff, but it gives an odd impression
 to those around us. No one can really reply beecause they don't know what he's talking about
 so he definitely gets the feeling he's winning these debates (he's far too well-mannered to be
 rude about it, but it's certainly an unspoken truth in his view)

Also, it will say press 1 to support the wall, repeat that, make the sound a cell phone makes when a call has been disconnected if you don’t respond, and then say “Press 2 if you do not support the wall.”


Did it to fact check, and it does in fact make the “end call” noise making you believe the call was done before you could press 2 to say you don’t support the wall.

I’ve done this four times today.

In twenty years this post will be in a textbook to teach kids why neoliberalism was a useless joke.

Know that this isn’t Trump’s ad but 
House Freedom Fund, a political action committee closely affiliated with the conservative Republican House Freedom Caucus. 

If you call this number you could be handing over your phone number to be robo called by this committee for fund raising. There is nothing impartial about this.  not just the adult males, adult females do it too - but it's only a thing when
 wolves who aren't related by blood end up sharing a habitat.
 So consider: by some happenstance, two unrelated werewolf families end up
 living across the street from one another. Of course they're not going to stat
 brawling in the streets - they're civilised people, after all - but that urge to show
 the other pack who's boss comes out in other ways, resulting in the two clans
 getting, like, weirdly competitive about everything

 This article, on the grounds that it’s a conflict of interest, 
shouldn’t be regarded as independently verified vindication of Bernie’s 
plans. It’s not legit. Sanders has ALWAYS had this one rogue economist 
on his side. This CNN article is the equivalent of WAC authoring a 
“jobs-boosting” proposal back in 2013, where Rand Paul then chooses to 
adopt it as “his” presidential plan around 2015, then someone questions 
whether or not the plan would actually work as advertised, so WAC writes
 an essay defending what is now referred to as “Rand Paul’s Plan,” and 
CNN references that new essay with the narrative, “independent 
researchers confirm Paul’s plan would work,” despite it really just 
being us declaring our own ideas to be sound. THAT would NOT be 
independent verification, and neither is Friedman declaring his own

 popular CNN article has been circulating recently, claiming that an 
economist has studied Bernie Sanders’ plans and concluded that they’d be
 an astounding success. [a]<br/><br/> Here’s the problem, THAT economist 
happens to be the same exact economist who AUTHORED Bernie’s proposal. 
Published back on July 31, 2013, rogue economist Gerald Friedman, a man 
who proudly refers to himself as a “heterodox economist,”
 [b] which means that he doesn’t adhere to widely accepted economic 
beliefs, released a healthcare proposal that involved scrapping the 
entire private health insurance system in favor of government managed 
health insurance. [c] That plan was based off of a hypothetical one year
 budget. Then, a few years later, when Bernie Sanders decided to run for
 president, Sanders adopted this proposal as “his” plan for healthcare. 
Friedman then revised the plan to make it a 10 year proposal, since 
presidential budgets are often 10 year plans. A Huffington Post article,
 written by Friedman, lays out his 10 year plan as he attempts to defend
 Sanders from earlier attacks. [d]<br/><br/> Then comes this latest 
article where CNN acts almost as though Sanders just had his plans 
thoroughly vetted by an impartial economist.  He CLEARLY didn’t. <br/><br/>
 This article, on the grounds that it’s a conflict of interest, 
shouldn’t be regarded as independently verified vindication of Bernie’s 
plans. It’s not legit. Sanders has ALWAYS had this one rogue economist 
on his side. This CNN article is the equivalent of WAC authoring a 
“jobs-boosting” proposal back in 2013, where Rand Paul then chooses to 
adopt it as “his” presidential plan around 2015, then someone questions 
whether or not the plan would actually work as advertised, so WAC writes
 an essay defending what is now referred to as “Rand Paul’s Plan,” and 
CNN references that new essay with the narrative, “independent 
researchers confirm Paul’s plan would work,” despite it really just 
being us declaring our own ideas to be sound. THAT would NOT be 
independent verification, and neither is Friedman declaring his own 
ideas to be wonderful.<br/><br/> Let’s end with some important notes, some of which were even found in the CNN article:<br/><br/>
