Hello rightsmarts, the latest in conservative news. I’m just reblogging this because it’s gotten around to the punk side of things and sometimes it seems like anarchists forget that PR is important in political movements.
The balloon cost around $3k to make and fill, the remainder of the money is going to go to take the balloon on tour. People DID donate $52,000 dollars to the Trump Baby.
They also donated $21 million to
The Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services

Ali, Being Alone, and Bad: Man Sentenced After Throwing Bacon on Muslim Student @balleralert Man Sentenced After Throwing Bacon on Muslim Student-blogged by @thereal__bee ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 17-year-old Muslim student Ikram Ali from Enfield, England, was attacked in early June by a white man who threw raw bacon on her face in an Islamophobic attack. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 36-year old Alex Chivers was responsible for the assault and was sentenced to serve 26 weeks in jail. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When speaking on the incident, Ali explained that she was on her way to a polling station with her mother and sister when Chivers attacked them with raw bacon. She also says that he called her "scum" and said that she "deserved it." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ "I was unable to see and breathe for a while and at this point I couldn’t understand why. I was being suffocated. I thought I was dead," Ali told BuzzFeedNews. "I didn’t know what hit me. It was only when the bacon peeled off my face and it fell to the ground, and the male behind me started shouting, 'Bacon, bacon, it’s bacon,' that I started to grasp what was happening to me." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ali says Chivers did not do the attack alone. He escaped on a motorcycle with another male. James Payne, a police officer from Enfield Community Safety Unit, said in a statement that the second man, who has not been identified, recorded the attack. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ For Ali this is another example of the struggles Muslim people face in the United States. Ali said, "Islamophobia is real, and it is out there and because of the way Muslim women choose to dress, we’re unfortunately a target." ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Though this experience was traumatic Ali is still optimistic. "I still choose to believe there’s more good out there than bad, and that my hijab will not hinder me in my life," she said.
