Russia has denied purposefully killing civilians, claiming that it targets terrorist groups. _ France and the U.S., meanwhile, have accussed Moscow of prolonging the conflict by supporting Syria's embattled President, Bashar al-Assad. Washington broke off all negotiations with Moscow nine days ago amid extreme tension over failure to secure a truce. Secretary of State John Kerry agreed to a renewal of talks on Wednesday that will take a multilateral approach to end the violence and resume humanitarian aid delivery. Estimates of total casualties in the civil war are as high as 470,000 since its start more than 5 years ago.
