80s, Bad, and Community: Why do so many of these "Og Rappers" judge the new generation? They say we make drug user music like making drug selling music is better what's the difference? What about the fact that rap is the number one genre of music right now none of y'all acknowledge that Artists been snorting cocaine and smoking crack since the 70s and 80s did y'all forget that? Instead of judging how about y'all make a change. If the message in the previous generation of rap was so good why did so many of our parents abandon us for crack ? Why we still killing each other? Don't use us as the scape goat! Our music is a reflection of what's going on in our community and alt w doing is using our talent to escape that community troubleman31 @21savage lil bro speaking real truth tho The fact of the matter is... There's been good, bad,ERCOM great, mediocre artists,&otherwise in EVERY generation Even ours (2000s), The Founding era (80s) & the golden era of the 90s. They're not the only generation to make "user music" either. Can anyone remember a Lil album called "The Chronic"? Or hit Recs like "Sippin on some Sizzurp"... Regardless of the subject matter...This is THEY TIME. Couldn't nobody tell us how to run ours,or make us sound how they thought we should.. Live ya life & do ya stuff young'n. Just bare with us,&try to understand. y'all niggaz kinda different & take some getting used to. As the elders gotta understand they're SUCCESS JUSTIFIES the CHANGE. The Numbers DONT LIE!!! Can't hate on that. Thoughts? 21savage ti

San Francisco 49ers, America, and Apparently: People Are Mad About Colin Kapernick Being Named GQ's "Citizen of the Year" L. @balleralert People Are Mad About Colin Kapernick Being Named GQ’s “Citizen of the Year” – blogged by @MsJennyb ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Just hours after GQ announced that ColinKaepernick would be recognized as one the magazine’s “Men of the Year,” specifically coined this year’s “Citizen of the Year,” the Twitterverse nearly drowned in whitetears. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Many took to the social media platform to express their disapproval with GQ’s decision to feature the former 49ers quarterback. Others even called for a boycott of the magazine, using the hashtag BoycottGQ. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “I guess it’s time to BoycottGQ since @GQMagazine named Colin Kaepernick “Citizen of the Year.” A divisive, anti-American, Racist jackass that single-handedly destroyed the @NFL isn’t a citizen, he’s a traitor,” Twitter user Hans Auf wrote. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Last year, Kaepernick led the league in a protest against police brutality and racial injustices by kneeling during the national anthem. His movement sparked a widespread discussion about the former quarterback’s purpose, his subsequent extended unemployment and the league’s handling of the protests. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “ BoycottGQ magazine…how dumb can you get GQ? Colin is a whiny rich spoiled crybaby and hates America. DO YOU hate America too GQ? Apparently,” Cup of Covfefe & Me wrote. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “Seems GQ magazine has awarded @Kaepernick7 “Man of the Year” award. In doing so, they agree that it is perfectly fine to insult our nation’s flag, national anthem and our nation’s heroes,” Adorable Deplorable tweeted. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ However, others were pleased with GQ’s decision. In fact, many praised the magazine for recognizing such a courageous man, who risked his career to make a difference in the world.

Beautiful, Confidence, and Life: Stop Body-Shaming Yourself; Confidence Starts With You @balleralert Stop Body-Shaming Yourself; Confidence Starts With You -blogged by @peachkyss ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On an episode of “The Real,” Tamera Mowry-Housley talked about gaining over 70 pounds while carrying her youngest child. Further into the conversation, the talk show host divulged the difficulty she’s had trying to lose the post-pregnancy weight. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What really hit me was when Tamera brought up body shaming, and how we often body shame ourselves. Over the years, I️ have learned that we are often our worst critics. Opinions from others do hurt at times but what hurts the most is how hard we are on ourselves. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It doesn’t matter if you’ve been overweight all your life, gained weight over the years, or just had a baby, we have to learn to love and appreciate ourselves. We often get so caught up in what other people think of us, that we begin to make adjustments based on others’ opinions. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When you are sick and tired of how you look in the mirror, you will make a change. But the change is on your terms, no one else’s. So stop body-shaming yourself and learn to love and accept who you are. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You are beautiful and most importantly, you are “You,” and no one else can change that.
