Therefore during the term of his presidency Donald Trump should not be invited to the United Kingdom for an official State Visit.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The petition comes on the heels of Trump’s controversial executive order, which restricted access to the United States for travelers from seven Muslim-majority nations. The new order sparked outrage across the country and massive protests in several airports around the nation, as officials began to enforce the controversial action, by detaining and deporting travelers, even those with green-cards. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ According to reports in the British media, several travelers with British passports were turned away at the border as well. However, Trump officials have since said that British dual citizens from the banned countries will be allowed in the country. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As a result, sometime Sunday afternoon, as many as 1,000 people each minute signed the British petition to block Trump’s admission to the state dinner.
