    Outrage: Pink Floyd performing in Venice, 1989
Since its birth, rock music has been seen as a revolutionary force and an agent of social change. But Pink Floydā€™s show in Venice on July 15th, 1989, unintentionally resulted in the mayor and the entire city council resigning in the aftermath of their performance.ā£ ā£ Even before a note was played, residents were up in arms, saying that the vibrations caused by the music had the potential to cause harm to the ancient monuments. So the band, sympathetic to the city, agreed to reduce the volume of its performance from 100 decibels to 60, and performed from a floating barge in a lagoon 200 yards from the square.ā£ ā£ It was the audience, which numbered 200,000, that did the most damage. Officials said that they left behind 300 tons of garbage, and because the city didnā€™t provide portable bathrooms, concertgoers relieved themselves on the monuments and walls.ā£ ā£ The public outrage was immediate. At a public meeting two days later, Mayor Antonio Casellati took defense saying that there was ā€œunusual pressureā€ from ā€œRAIā€, the state-run television network that profited from the concert. But his attempts at spin were shouted down with "Resign, resign, you've turned Venice into a toilet." The Venetians got their wish.  from being stabbed 13 times
 Four intruders, one armed with a
 shotgun broke into a family home
 where the father was threatened to
 open the family safe, when the dad of
 3 didn't comply the indruder got
 ready to open fire where Lefty the pit
 bull jumped at him blocking the shot
 from his daddy and got a bullet wound
 to his shoulder. The intruder was injured
 by the dog and they all quickly fled from
 the scene
 Baby, a 10 year old pit bull woke up her
 family in the middle of the night to alert
 them of a blazing fire that had broken
 out. Managing to avoid the vicious
 flames, one by one she woke up each
 family member and led them to safty
 After putting her humans out of
 danger, she then ran back into the
 burning house to save the family's
 other five dogs, one of which was blind
 and too scared to go with her so she
 pulled the dog out by the scruff of the
 neck. The home was completely
 distroyed but thanks to Baby, no-one
 had a single burn.
 Cara was walking her dog, Creature one
 night and couldn't help but notice he
 had a lot of interest in a certain bush.
 Shrugging it of as he's just seen a cat,
 Creature carried on to pull and bark to
 alert his owner that something wasn't
 quite right. Cara finally went with her
 companions instinct and decided to
 check it out, where she found an
 elderly woman in her Pls on the
 ground, shivering from the cold. Who
 she found was Carmen Mitchell, 89
 suffers from Alzheimer's and had

 When Bella the pit bull mix was seen

I disagree. The makeup is clearly reflective of traditional Geisha makeup which is yellowface and therefore racist. Furthermore, the girl is wearing a kimono, a garment that has for ages carried cultural significance. Assuming that she is white how can you think this is ok? And cultural appropriation isnā€™t a thing? What rock do you live under? I suggest you educate yourself on the differences between cultural appreciation and cultural appropriation.

I am japanese, in japan at this very moment. The only people who think culture shouldnt be shared are racists like you. 
A vast majority of Japanese people actually enjoy other people making an effort to spread and enjoy japanese culture, and encourage it. Many make businesses in deliberately taking pictures of people in kimono. A common omiage (gift) for foreigners from japanese people is traditional japanese things such as kimonos, tea seats, shisa dog statues, ect. 
And to top it off, basically 80 percent of japanese customs, traditions, and food, came from other countries. Japanese is an integration of different cultures, like america. Japan takes influences from places like korea, china, russia, and europe. If japan stuck to itself, there would be no tempura, japanese tea, tea ceremonies, kabuki, japanese bread, japanese curry, j- pop, anime, cars, or modern fishing techniques. The picture is not ā€œyellow faceā€ they are not making fun of asians. In fact, it looks like they put extra care and research into their work. 
The only reason that you have a problem with this is because that little girl is white and you know that it is acceptable on tumblr to crap all over white people. The only racist here is you.

I live in Japan and Iā€™d like to back up this sentiment.Ā 
Recently a museum in Boston came under a lot of fire for allowing visitors to wear aĀ ā€˜kimonoā€™ (it was featuring a painting my Monet of a girl ā€“ a white girl ā€“ in a kimono, and the museum had replicas made that guests of ANY RACE could wear to mimic the painting, Pageant-of-the-Masters style). After protests and heated debate, the museum closed the event.
I was living in Japan at the time, and out of all the *actual* Japanese people I asked, not a single one was offended by the event. Rather, they were excited that people half a world away were showing interest in their culture, and were sad that visitors could no longer enjoy the event.
This party, though somewhat silly in application, is an attempt at experiencing and appreciating another culture. The mom who put this together is not an expert on Japan, but she did her best. She got a lot of things right: there are few things Japan loves more than tea, Pocky, and sakura.Ā 
Where do you draw the line for who isĀ ā€œallowedā€ to learn about Japan? If the girl were of Japanese descent, would that make it ok (even though her citizenship would be the same as the girl from the photo)? If one of the girlā€™s parents were from Japan, then would it be ok?Ā 
Are you only allowed to make pizza if you live in Italy? If youā€™re an Italian immigrant? How do we decide these things??
You canā€™t say you want to dismantle racism and then in the next breath make rules ā€“ based on race ā€“ for who people can wear, try, or eat, especially when the intent is obviously to have fun experiencing a culture (as opposed to having fun by making fun of a race or culture, like blackface does).Ā 
When you tell people they can only experience things ā€˜meant for their raceā€™, it totally smacks of segregation to me and I canā€™t stand it. As someone who (obviously) loves Japan, I say let people learn about it, let people experience it, let people appreciate it. You donā€™t have to know every single thing about a culture to enjoy it.

An artist in India is challenging sexist drawings of women in comic books by parodying them using male heroes in poses typically associated with women.
She-Hulk has superhuman strength and speed and is one of the most formidable hand-to-hand combatants in the Marvel world.
Like Hulk, not only does she have physical power, sheā€™s also completely green.

I disagree. The makeup is clearly reflective of traditional Geisha makeup which is yellowface and therefore racist. Furthermore, the girl is wearing a kimono, a garment that has for ages carried cultural significance. Assuming that she is white how can you think this is ok? And cultural appropriation isnā€™t a thing? What rock do you live under? I suggest you educate yourself on the differences between cultural appreciation and cultural appropriation.

I am japanese, in japan at this very moment. The only people who think culture shouldnt be shared are racists like you. 
A vast majority of Japanese people actually enjoy other people making an effort to spread and enjoy japanese culture, and encourage it. Many make businesses in deliberately taking pictures of people in kimono. A common omiage (gift) for foreigners from japanese people is traditional japanese things such as kimonos, tea seats, shisa dog statues, ect. 
And to top it off, basically 80 percent of japanese customs, traditions, and food, came from other countries. Japanese is an integration of different cultures, like america. Japan takes influences from places like korea, china, russia, and europe. If japan stuck to itself, there would be no tempura, japanese tea, tea ceremonies, kabuki, japanese bread, japanese curry, j- pop, anime, cars, or modern fishing techniques. The picture is not ā€œyellow faceā€ they are not making fun of asians. In fact, it looks like they put extra care and research into their work. 
The only reason that you have a problem with this is because that little girl is white and you know that it is acceptable on tumblr to crap all over white people. The only racist here is you.

I live in Japan and Iā€™d like to back up this sentiment.Ā 
Recently a museum in Boston came under a lot of fire for allowing visitors to wear aĀ ā€˜kimonoā€™ (it was featuring a painting my Monet of a girl ā€“ a white girl ā€“ in a kimono, and the museum had replicas made that guests of ANY RACE could wear to mimic the painting, Pageant-of-the-Masters style). After protests and heated debate, the museum closed the event.
I was living in Japan at the time, and out of all the *actual* Japanese people I asked, not a single one was offended by the event. Rather, they were excited that people half a world away were showing interest in their culture, and were sad that visitors could no longer enjoy the event.
This party, though somewhat silly in application, is an attempt at experiencing and appreciating another culture. The mom who put this together is not an expert on Japan, but she did her best. She got a lot of things right: there are few things Japan loves more than tea, Pocky, and sakura.Ā 
Where do you draw the line for who isĀ ā€œallowedā€ to learn about Japan? If the girl were of Japanese descent, would that make it ok (even though her citizenship would be the same as the girl from the photo)? If one of the girlā€™s parents were from Japan, then would it be ok?Ā 
Are you only allowed to make pizza if you live in Italy? If youā€™re an Italian immigrant? How do we decide these things??
You canā€™t say you want to dismantle racism and then in the next breath make rules ā€“ based on race ā€“ for who people can wear, try, or eat, especially when the intent is obviously to have fun experiencing a culture (as opposed to having fun by making fun of a race or culture, like blackface does).Ā 
When you tell people they can only experience things ā€˜meant for their raceā€™, it totally smacks of segregation to me and I canā€™t stand it. As someone who (obviously) loves Japan, I say let people learn about it, let people experience it, let people appreciate it. You donā€™t have to know every single thing about a culture to enjoy it.

 Cheko reacted quickly when he saw his
 owner get threatened with a knife in a
 domestic dispute, he dived in front of his

 Four intruders, one armed with a
 shotgun broke into a family home
 where the father was threatened to
 open the family safe, when the dad of
 3 didn't comply the indruder got
 ready to open fire where Lefty the pit
 bull jumped at him blocking the shot
 from his daddy and got a bullet wound
 to his shoulder. The intruder was injured
 by the dog and they all quickly fled from
 the scene
 Baby, a 10 year old pit bull woke up her
 family in the middle of the night to alert
 them of a blazing fire that had broken
 out. Managing to avoid the vicious
 flames, one by one she woke up each
 family member and led them to safety
 After putting her humans out of
 danger, she then ran back into the
 burning house to save the family's
 other five dogs, one of which was blind
 and too scared to go with her so she
 pulled the dog out by the scruff of the
 neck. The home was completely
 destroyed but thanks to Baby, no-one
 had a single burn.
 Cara was walking her dog, Creature one
 night and couldn't help but notice he
 had a lot of interest in a certain bush.
 Shrugging it off as he's just seen a cat,
 Creature carried on to pull and bark to
 alert his owner that something wasn't
 quite right. Cara finally went with her
 companion's instinct and decided to
 check it out, where she found an
 elderly woman in her Pls on the
 ground, shivering from the cold. Who
 she found was Carmen Mitchell, 89,
 suffers from Alzheimer's and had
 wandered from her home
 When Bella the pit bull mix was seen
 running into traffic and barking at
 pedestrians, she was thought to be just
 another stray. Teri was one of those
 pedestrians and decided to follow the
 mixed breed. Bella lead Teri to her
 home, where her wheelchair-bound
 owner was found on the floor with
 stab wounds in his neck while clinging
 to life. Her owner luckily survived and
 says that he owes his life to Bella for
 running to get help.

 concentrates on the badly-owned pit
 bulls then blame their breed for it for

 bull jumped at him blocking the shot

 Baby, a 10 year old pit bull woke up her
 family in the middle of the night to alert
 them of a blazing fire that had broken
 out. Managing to avoid the vicious
 flames, one by one she woke up each
 family member and led them to safety
 After putting her humans out of
 danger, she then ran back into the
 burning house to save the family's
 other five dogs, one of which was blind
 and too scared to go with her so she
 pulled the dog out by the scruff of the
 neck. The home was completely
 destroyed but thanks to Baby, no-one
 had a single burn.
 Cara was walking her dog, Creature one
 night and couldn't help but notice he
 had a lot of interest in a certain bush.
 Shrugging it off as he's just seen a cat,
 Creature carried on to pull and bark to
 alert his owner that something wasn't
 quite right. Cara finally went with her
 companion's instinct and decided to
 check it out, where she found an

 When Bella the pit bull mix was seen

 concentrates on the badly-owned pit
 bulls then blame their breed for it for

 about heroic pit bulls that sadly never

 I have a pit bull who I took from a dog
 fighter when he was a puppy, even
 though he's been 'bred to fight' I've
 raised him right and in the 11 years of
 having him he's never hurt anyone and
 has given me nothing but happiness (and
