America, Donald Trump, and Fbi: REVOLT Rippedemup.com Cuba will keep Assata Shakur, despite Trump's request to return her to U.S A top Cuban official says returning the prison escapee is "off the table.' President DonaldTrump has asked Cuba to return American fugitive AssataShakur to the United States, but a top Cuban official has said that the country's government has no plans to. "I can say it is off the table," Gustavo Machin, deputy director for American affairs at the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reportedly told Yahoo News. Assata Shakur was a member of the Black Panther Party in the 1960s and 1970s, and was convicted in 1977 of murdering a police officer. Many believe Shakur was targeted and framed by COINTELPRO, an FBI-sanctioned program that was used to neutralize people and organizations involved in the Civil Rights Movement (among others). Shakur served six and a half years in prison before escaping in 1979 and fleeing to Cuba, where she received political asylum from Fidel Castro. She has lived in Cuba ever since, and remains on the FBI's most wanted fugitives list, with a $2 million bounty. Artists like The Roots, Jay Z, and Common, who has a song titled "A Song For Assata," have all mentioned or paid homage to her legacy in their music. Last week, President Donald Trump revealed plans to cancel policy from the Obama Adminstration that eased longstanding tensions between America and Cuba. He then called for Cuba to "return the fugitives from American justice, including the return of the cop killer Joanne Chesimard," referring to Shakur by her former name. Machin said Cuba has no plans to return her to the U.S., because its government believes that she was unjustly imprisoned in the first place. “There are very serious doubts about that case," Machin said. "We consider that a politically motivated case against that lady." Via @revolttv revolttv realrozay rozayblog

Community, Fresh, and Internet: This University's Resident Elotero Now Takes Venmo, and People Are Flooding Him With Donations Source: Remezcla hoto: Mark Lasa/The Bott Lin 😍👍🏽👏🏽Messages like “I respect the hustle,” “Every time I see you, I’m reminded of my neighborhood” and “thank you for all your hard work” filled his feed. Camacho sweetly liked or replied to many of the messages. A picture of Camacho went viral after @manukmusic alerted Twitter that the elotero takes Venmo as a payment method. “Raspado guy changing da game,” he wrote, adding a picture that clearly shows Camacho’s blue street cart with a sheet of paper that display his Venmo username. Before becoming internet famous, student’s knew him as Isla Vista’s resident elote man. But the tweet has been a boon to his business. On top of perhaps notifying UCSB students to Camacho’s cart, users from around the country decided to pitch in. They sent him donations and applauded his efforts. For the past 20 years, Camacho has served Mexican treats – elotes, raspados, mangoes, and tostilocos – to the IslaVista community. The Oxnard resident – who makes the more than 30-mile drive to SantaBarbara every day with his wife (who runs her own cart in the area) – starts his day at 3 a.m. This gives him enough time to drive to LosAngeles, which is double the distance from Santa Barbara to Oxnard, to buy fresh produce from the markets. He and his wife don’t have any days off, because the carts are their sole source of income. [Read more: See link in bio @undocumedia]
