sophia bush: I just want to take a couple minutes to talk about something that is important to me. Recently, I have seen some posts on my personal account from girls my age, posting pretty sad status' about not having a boyfriend. They are putting up posts like 'need a fella(boyfriend, scouse term) and 'forever alone'. It saddens me and annoys me at the same time. I just want to say to anyone fee ling the same way or just anyone reading this, that those statements aren't true. Yes, loving someone is an amazing feeling, having someone love you back is equally as amazing, but needing a boys love, not being happv without a bovs love, that isn't a good thing I know this isn't quote or tv related but its some important thoughts. I have always loved a strong female lead and love shows that show case womens rights and talk openly about things like sex and periods. I think its important we talk about these things. The double standards and stigmas need to go. I did a post about best women on tv where i talked about the strong characters in a show but the celebrities who play those roles are normally as strong and active in the womens rights world. From Sophia Bush who played Brooke Davis on OTH and Det. Lindsey on Chicago PD. To Mariska Hargitay who plays Olivia Benson on Law&Order SVU. These women are changing tv and I'm so proud to be a fan of them, not just for their amazing acting skills but for all they believe in and do for us. feminist feminism teachboysnottorape rapeculture rapevictim teachmennottorape teachmentorespectwomen womenshealth dowhatyoulove dowhatmakesyouhappy dowhatyouwant youdontneedaman @sophiabush mariskahargitay sophiabush
