It was birthed from Brittania, who at the age of 10, was diagnosed with Osteogenic Sarcoma. Stress is arguably the number one cause of disease in our world as it encumbers our immunological system across the board, making other illnesses achieve a foothold and spread from there. Lowering said stress hormone levels is therefore our primary focus as a novice meditator. There is really no point doing mantras, mudras or chanting before this has been self-mastered, this feeling of abundant stillness, this centering. Yes, a mantra can still alleviate the conscious foci to remain centered. And yes, a mudra is an expression of meditative intent that when used properly can greatly alter the experiences during the meditative state. But before we are solemly calm, these things are mere "unknowables", the mind cannot know these assistants, for they are not "knowledge" to be applied, they are vehicles of consciousness more so, and you wouldn't strap a toddler into a spaceship before he learnt some spatial awareness, would you? So just sit. As a result, hundreds of thousands of miners lack basic necessities such as running water and sanitation. Hunger, illiteracy, and infant mortality are commonplace. Even within developing countries, diamond mining communities are often the most impoverished. -- Besides being grossly underpaid, many diamond miners work in extremely dangerous conditions. Small-scale diamond mining is often conducted without training or expertise. Miners may lack safety equipment and the proper tools. They can easily die or be injured in landslides, mine collapses, and other accidents. -- Diamond mining also contributes to public health problems. The sex trade thrives in many diamond mining towns, leading to the spread of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. Environmental devastation resulting from diamond mining is another cause of disease. In Sierra Leone, miners have littered the landscape with thousands of abandoned mining pits. Allah never promised this life would be easy, but He did promise that He would be with you every step of the way. "And He is with you wherever you are" (57:4) - The following is a touching story about a new Muslim and his mother. Before he was a muslim, he lived with his mother until he was about 18 years old. Then he moved out his home and lived in a different place on his own During those days, he met some Muslims and became a very close friend of them. Eventually he himself became a Muslim after learning about the beautiful religion of Islam from them. He made an effort every day, he came to learn about the benefits of being good to one's parents. He learned that a person who looks at his parents with the eyes of obedience gets the reward of one accepted Hajj! After knowing this he decided to visit for mother whom he did not visit for many years. He bought some flowers & fruits for her on his way. His mother was very pleased to see him after so long. He started spending lots of time with her mother on a regular basis. During his visits, he would stare at his mother & tears would roll down from his eyes. The mother noticed this happening many times & asked him one day the reason why he visits her so much all of a sudden & why he cries. He told her about how he became a Muslim & that the position of a mother in Islam is very high. He also told her about the reward he gets for looking at her. But while looking at her, he cries because the mother is not a Muslim and would not be able to save herself if she dies in this state. The mother immediately recognized the beauty of Islam and became a Muslim. SubhanAllah! So beautiful. The best dawah is your manners. The best naseeha is your example.
