 when we were here) menus only had prices in "pesos"
 which, having no cell or WiFi, we couldn't figure out
 conversion) employees wore shirts that said "We
 don't speak English, learn Spanish", they brought us
 our food in DOG BOWLS. I kid you not. It even had

 KIDDING. We ordered standard beverages which were
 around $4.50 each, Yet they brought us the $25 size
 and claimed to not "understand" and acted like it was
 a language barrier misunderstanding. Yet no problem
 understanding our food order. (We saw this happen at
 every table) men walked around making ballon
 animals for the children only for the parents to find a
 charge for each one on their receipt. Sign in the
 restaurant. "Keep calm, you are on the fun side of
 Trumps wall" (interesting THAT was in English) We
 obviously didn't eat the popcorn, but the waiter took it
 off our table and sat it on another table for them to
 "enjoy". All this happened WITHIN the port walls. So
 many were so uncomfortable. You didn't realize there
 were issues until AFTER you had ordered then you
 were snagged into having to pay. A young couple next
 to us tried complaining they didn't order the larger,
 more expensive beverage. Five...FIVE male waiters
 showed up at their table and basically intimidated
 them into just accepting the order. Never again

 Had a pretty "interesting" experience in #Cozumel
 #Mexicans seem to be pretty arrogant towards
 #Americans here (wasn't this way a few years ago
 when we were here) menus only had prices in "pesos"
 which, having no cell or WiFi, we couldn't figure out
 conversion) employees wore shirts that said "We
 don't speak English, learn Spanish", they brought us
 our food in DOG BOWLS. I kid you not. It even had
 Instead of Tortilla chips, they
 paws on the sides
 brought us popcorn... with several hairs in it. IM NOT
 KIDDING. We ordered standard beverages which were
 around $4.50 each, Yet they brought us the $25 size
 and claimed to not "understand" and acted like it was
 a language barrier misunderstanding. Yet no problem
 understanding our food order. (We saw this happen at
 every table) men walked around making ballon
 animals for the children only for the parents to find a
 charge for each one on their receipt. Sign in the
 restaurant. "Keep calm, you are on the fun side of
 Trumps wall" (interesting THAT was in English) We
 obviously didn't eat the popcorn, but the waiter took it
 off our table and sat it on another table for them to
 "enjoy". All this happened WITHIN the port walls. So
 many were so uncomfortable. You didn't realize there
 were issues until AFTER you had ordered then you
 were snagged into having to pay. A young couple next
 to us tried complaining they didn't order the larger,
 more expensive beverage. Five...FIVE male waiters
 showed up at their table and basically intimidated
 them into just accepting the order. Never again
